Plant Theft Attempt

On Sunday morning, 7 July 2024, around 7.30am, this man arrived on a mobility scooter and thought it was okay to steal some plants out of the flower beds at the Moorfield Colliery Memorial, Burnley Road, Altham, which had only recently been planted by the Parish Council.

If it had not been for a diligent resident who saw this happening and challenged him to put them back, who knows how many he would have taken. A big thank you to the resident!

It just goes to show how low some people will go just to get what they want.
